Memorial Day
While I am so very thankful for our service men and women that fight and die for my freedom, I am less than thankful that I have to work today. It would be nice to be able to go to a veterans home or visit a vet's widow to say thank you for their sacrifices...but alas, some yahoo always wants cable. So here I sit. Shuffling through paperwork of the weekends customers and wondering who is going to a cookout or the beach instead of remembering WHY (some of) we get the day off anyway. Things that make you go hmmmmmm. If you are going to a cookout, have fun but take a moment to pray for our troops that are not here to celebrate this 3 day weekend. They have either gone Home (as in Heaven) or they are stuck in some God forsaken desert trying not to get their asses shot off. And they do this all WILLINGLY!!! And maybe after you pray for them, you can have a BBQ rib in their honor.

Okay so maybe not daily
Well at least not this week. I have to pull doubles all weekend at work. My night time girl had a family emergency and had to go out of town. Mike is running only AM's so I can get some work done at night. And I was woken up this morning at 7am by a field supervisor wanting to know why his route was so heavy. HIRE SOME PEOPLE THAT SHOW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until then do your route and like it, buddy! That is all.

I'm going to try and do this everyday

So this is my blog. Daily Rantings of a Cable Person. A background on that: I have worked in cable television for 13 years. My husband has worked in cable television for 7 years. When my oldest son, Aiden started to crawl, the first words from my darling husband were "load him up. He can go under houses for me". Needless to say, Aiden has yet to run any cable outlets. He did do a disconnect once. I'll have to locate the picture of Cable Guy Aiden. Now that our youngest son, Tyler is doing the Army crawl, I hear my husband say the same thing about him. I am hoping that my children DO NOT follow in their parents footsteps and they decide to become lawyers or doctors. I found some pictures of Cable Guy Aiden. Enjoy!
Now I am off to precall some customers. Sorry folks but I am the reason your cable guy is always late. That and the 400000000 other cable customers in the world.
